At Seal-Rite, we are fortunate enough to be one of the most trusted names in sealcoating equipment. It’s hard to find someone who has spent any time in the industry that doesn’t know who we are. And while we do have some competitors, no one can compete with our combination of quality American-made equipment at affordable prices.

While multiple items set us apart from the other guys, the biggest item is the quality of our craftsmanship. From the beginning, we set out to design and manufacture the best equipment we could. After all, we were sealcoating professionals with decades of experience. And while we started sealcoating with a 55-gallon drum, we knew we could do a lot better by producing our own equipment.

Focused on Manufacturing and Selling Equipment

In our experience, it’s best to focus on what you do best. For us, that’s manufacturing and selling of sealcoating equipment. We don’t sell sealant or similar products, we stick to our strengths and produce the best sealcoating equipment money can buy.

This focus has allowed us to fine-tune our sealcoating equipment at every level. From major components like the Honda motors we use to less-obvious components like the size of the hanger brackets, our designs take everything into consideration. Each piece of equipment is built from high-quality components that work together to deliver top performance and reliability.

Let’s take a look at some of those components.

Quality Components from Top to Bottom

Honda Motors

Honda is the world’s largest engine manufacturer. They have the experience and know-how to consistently deliver quality engines, which is why they are considered the best in the industry by many. We use Honda engines because we want top performance, including power output, fuel efficiency, and compact size.

Motor Size

Getting the motor size right on a sealcoating unit is a necessity. If the engine is too small, it will struggle to keep up with the demands you are putting on it. If the engine is too big, it will have more power than you need and force you to carry excess weight that serves no purpose.

We choose motor sizes carefully to hit the sweet spot for each of our units. We will help you find the appropriate size machine for your business goals.

Tire Capacity

Tires are one area where shoddy sealcoating units often fall short. Smaller tires with less weight capacity are cheaper, which can tempt manufacturers to put these tires on units that are not really up to the task. Sealant is heavy and you need enough capacity to handle everything you plan on carrying for road safety. At Seal-Rite, we don’t cut corners, which is why the tire capacity on each unit is more than enough for your needs.

Axle Size

We choose high-quality axles that can safely carry the maximum load of each unit we manufacture. That means you have the right size for the job. You don’t have to worry about hauling around excess axle weight from an axle that is larger than it needs to be.

Deck Space

Our sealcoating units are designed to give you maximum versatility depending on the application. Some of our units are designed to be as compact as possible, such as our pickup units. Others are meant to give you plenty of room to work with, like our trailer units. If you need deck space, you can get it with Seal-Rite.

Rubber Wipers

Our rubber wiper design is one of the things that sets us apart from many other sealcoating equipment manufacturers. There aren’t many jobs people want to do less than climbing into a tank and cleaning up sealant. Fortunately, with our rubber wiper designs you typically don’t have to.

As part of the agitation process, our wipers drag the sides of the tank with each pass. This helps keep the sides of the tank clean and minimizes the need to clean the tank by hand.

Hanger Bracket Size

Choosing the right size components has a big impact on the performance and durability of a sealcoating unit. This is true when it comes to hanger brackets, too. We choose hanger bracket sizes for each unit based on the axle size and weight capacity of the unit. This gives you as much capacity as possible on your hanger brackets without putting you at risk of overloading the unit.

Mixer Inside of Tank

Keeping sealant mixed properly is important for smooth, consistent application. Our four-paddle agitation system with three stick rumble wipers on each paddle mixes sealant inside the tank for maximum versatility and efficiency.

Pump Size

The pumps we use are made right in California by the people who invented the air-operated dual diaphragm pump. You won’t find a better pump for the money, and we ensure that the pump size is optimized based on tank size, trailer capacity, and other factors.

Filter Pot Size

Cleaning the filter pot is another task that, while necessary, is not something most people want to do more than they have to. Our large filter pot can handle extensive use before you have to clean it, so you can spend more time applying sealant and less time cleaning.

Hose Reel

Our hose reels are the best money can buy. Mounted on a swivel base, it uses the same three-quarter-inch spray hose we have used for the last 27 years. While we update some components when it makes sense to do so—like when the performance has significantly improved—other components are tried and true. Our hose reel is one of them.

Fully Primed and Painted

Each sealcoating unit we produce is fully primed before it gets to you. Unlike some low-quality units out there, you don’t have to worry about the paint on our units flaking off after a little weathering. Our manufacturing process ensures that every unit is as prepared for the elements as much as possible.

Every Unit is Professional Quality

You won’t find any “pro” units from Seal-Rite or any economy units. That’s because we design all of our units to be of professional quality. From our most basic to our most advanced, every unit you get from us is made to be used by professionals for a lifetime. Even if your business grows and you need to purchase units with more capacity, you can continue to use the unit you first purchased for smaller applications.

Even in our most affordable sealcoating unit, you will find the same quality components listed above. There is no need to sacrifice quality or performance when you choose Seal-Rite.

There are plenty of companies to choose from when buying sealcoating equipment. Some are good, some not so good. But we don’t think you will find any manufacturer that tops our equipment. And you don’t have to take our word for it. We can show you.
