What is the difference between a hardened steel spray tip and a ceramic spray tip?

A hardened steel tip is the most common spray tip used by sealcoating contractors. They offer excellent durability and are cost-effective. Suitable for medium to large commercial projects; however, they typically require replacing more often than a ceramic spray tip. Ceramic tips are more durable and resistant to abrasion than hardened steel.  While more expensive, they will need to be replaced less often, making them perfect for contractors who handle high-volume work.
